What it does
SimpleWeather satellites fly over your head a few times a day and beam down live pictures of the clouds below. This app can catch that signal and slowly draw the picture line by line — you can literally download a satellite photo of your own sky.
How it works
SimpleAs the satellite flies over, it sends the picture one line at a time. The app stacks those lines up into a full image, like a fax from space.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Use a good 137 MHz antenna with a clear view of the sky.
- Open 'NOAA APT'.
- Wait for a satellite pass.
- Watch the picture build up line by line.
