VOR Transmitter
Generate a VOR nav signal
#transmit#aviation#vor#navigation
What it does
SimpleThis makes the kind of signal a VOR beacon sends, so you can understand how the bearing information is built — the send side of the VOR receiver. Because it's an aviation navigation band, it's for learning and shielded bench tests, not real broadcasting.
How it works
SimpleIt builds two signals whose timing difference stands for a compass direction, exactly what the receiver measures to find a bearing.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Use a shielded/allowed setup only.
- Open 'VOR TX'.
- Pick a radial to encode.
- Decode it on VOR RX to see it works.
Examples
Encode a radial
Generate the 090° radial and confirm VOR RX reads it back.
Understand VOR
See how phase difference becomes a bearing, end to end.
Tips & things to try
- Aviation navigation band — keep it to a shielded bench or authorised test.
- Pairs directly with VOR RX for a full encode/decode loop.
