What it does
SimpleThis makes a plain, steady radio 'note' at one frequency. Engineers use a known steady signal to test whether a radio, an antenna, or a cable is working — like humming a single clear note to check that a microphone is picking up sound.
You pick a frequency you're allowed to use, turn it on, and then use another tool (like the Level meter) to confirm it's really there and how strong it is.
How it works
SimpleThe app tells the transmitter to send one clean, unchanging wave at the frequency you chose. Because it's steady and predictable, any change you measure downstream is due to your antenna or cable, not the signal — which is exactly what makes it a good test.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Pick a frequency you're allowed to use.
- Open 'Signal Generator' and set that frequency.
- Turn it on.
- Check it on another radio or the Level meter.
Examples
Emit a carrier and measure it on Level to objectively compare two antennas.
Provide a known reference frequency to verify a receiver is tuned correctly.
Compare the level with and without a feedline to estimate its loss.
