Signal Hunter
Find & locate active signals
#receive#search#direction-finding#new
What it does
SimpleSignal Hunter (added in the 2026 nightlies) is like a bloodhound for radio: it searches across a range, flags where signals are active, and helps you home in on them — great for finding a mystery transmitter.
How it works
SimpleIt scans lots of frequencies, notices the busy ones, and then shows you how strong each is so you can walk toward it.
How to use it, step by step
Simple- Open 'Signal Hunter'.
- Set the range to search.
- Let it find active signals.
- Follow the strength to the source.
Examples
Mystery signal
Sweep a band, find an unexpected active frequency, and track down what's transmitting.
Fox hunt helper
Use it alongside a beacon to practise direction finding.
Tips & things to try
- It's one of the newest apps — grab a recent nightly to get it.
- A directional antenna turns 'detected' into 'located'.
