File Manager

Manage SD card files

#utility#files#sd-card

What it does

Simple

Everything you record or save goes onto the memory card. This app lets you see those files, rename them, or delete the ones you don't need — just like the Files app on a phone or computer.

Since radio recordings can be big, it's also how you tidy up and make room before a long recording session.

How it works

Simple

The memory card stores files in folders, just like a computer. The File Manager shows those folders and files, and lets you rename or delete them by tapping — so you stay organised and don't run out of space.

How to use it, step by step

Simple
  1. Open 'File Manager'.
  2. Browse the folders on the card.
  3. Tap a file to rename or delete it.
  4. Free up space before a big recording.

Examples

Clean up captures

Delete old .C16 files to make room for a long recording.

Rename for clarity

Give captures meaningful names so you remember what each one is.

Pre-flight tidy

Check free space and clear clutter before a field session.

Tips & things to try

  • IQ captures are the space hogs — check here before you run out mid-recording.
  • Rename files right after capturing while you still remember what they are.
  • It's your on-device Files app; no computer needed to stay organised.
